TriCounty Health Department is doing their part to make sure the school year gets started on the right foot. Health Department officials are taking the time to inspect the schools in this Health District. “We want to look and make sure every kid is safe,” shares TriCounty Health Representative
Gary Stewart
. This means the health department officials check over the school inside and out, looking for tripping hazards and the safety level of the structures. Radon testing is also conducted to make sure there is no high radon in local schools. Thankfully, there have been no high levels found and while a few very low levels were indicated, it was nothing that needed to be treated. For more information on the Give Em’ Health feature, visit
