It takes a little planning to get to the store and when you go shopping you want to use the fresh things first so they don’t go bad.” More than 90 percent of adults and children do not eat the recommended amounts of fruits and vegetables. Some tips from the health department to get more fruits and veggies in your diet include trying veggie substitutes in recipes like spaghetti squash in place of pasta and use fruits in dessert in place of cakes and pastries.
