Weather is warming up and folks are enjoying fun in the great outdoors. TriCounty Health Department is urging safety first by offering two youth ATV safety courses this month. “This came about because Primary Children’s Hospital looked at what injuries were coming in to them,” explains TriCounty Health representative Jeramie Tubbs. “They noticed that traumatic brain injuries were stemming from ATV crashes with kids… There is a lot to be vigilant about to keep kids safe out there.” The state then partnered with TriCounty Health to provide a course that will make safer riders out of local kids. The first of two classes is being held at the Centennial Event Center in Duchesne this Saturday at 8:00am. The second class is being held at Buckskin Hills on Saturday, April 29th, at 8:00am. The course is free of charge thanks to a partnership with State Parks.
