Reading and learning goals are of course a great priority in the Duchesne County School District but the District has an additional goal focused on the overall wellness of its students and staff. The October focus is to get outside and enjoy the sunshine for at least 30 minutes a day. Spending 30 minutes outside each day lowers stress, improves sleep, boosts heart health, and restores focus, shares the District. Elementary students received paper trackers to turn in at the end of the month and secondary students and staff can track their sunlight digitally to be entered into a drawing.
