The luck of the Irish is guaranteed at the 2nd annual BINGO For Buddy’s fundraiser event on St. Patty’s Day. Furever Buddy’s Dog Rescue is a small non-profit rescue focused on finding homes for homeless dogs and cats in rural eastern Utah before they face the possibility of being euthanized. “There are 22 puppies in the rescue and shelter right now under 8 weeks of age,” shares Furever Buddy’s representative Amber Lee. “We are trying to pull them out and into homes because it is hard to keep them safe from illness in the shelters.” All dogs rescued by Furever Buddy’s are dewormed, up to date on shots, and fixed before being adopted. With so many homeless animals to help, however, this gets very expensive. “That is why we hold our fundraiser,” explains Amber. “All the money we raise will go to animals for spay, neuter, [and] medical.” Amber also says they are saving up for a new building to have more space to save more animals. The event is being held Saturday, March 17th, at the Western Park. Tickets can be purchased at La Belle Boutique in Cal Ranch and at the Roosevelt animal shelter. There will be plenty of prizes to be won with doors opening at 5pm and bingo starting at 6pm.
