Summer days mean endless playtime outside and a break from the classroom but that doesn’t mean kids have to take a break from school lunch. The summer lunch program is underway in Uintah and Duchesne County running through July 20th. The Duchesne School District is offering free lunch for youth ages 18 and younger at East Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and Duchesne Elementary. The meal service time is 11:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding July 4th. Meals must be eaten on site and adults can purchase a meal for $4.00. Free summer lunch sponsored by Uintah School District is being held at Ashley Elementary in Vernal, Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:45pm. Food must be eaten on site and adult meals cost $3.55. This service is meant for everyone.
