There are two opportunities left this year for free entrance into Dinosaur National Monument and one of those is happening this week. October 27th is a free entrance day for all national parks in celebration of Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. A National Park announcement shares that during his presidency from 1901 to 1909, Teddy Roosevelt doubled the number of national parks from five to 10, created 150 national forests and many more bird and game reserves and national monuments. A standard day pass into Dinosaur National Monument is listed on nps.gov as $15 to $25 per vehicle making Tuesday’s free entrance day a nice savings for visitors. The final free entrance day for 2026 is coming up on November 11th in honor of Veterans Day.
