For Health Sake: Healthy Romantic Relationships

by | Feb 5, 2025 | News | 0 comments

A representative from Friends Against Family Violence recently visited the Evans Family Media studio to discuss a very important topic: having a healthy romantic relationship. This relationship is considered the most important because when it gets off track, everything else in life tends to get off track as well. There are four forms of safety that research has shown that if these are present you are most likely in a healthy relationship. #1. Physical Safety. #2. Emotional Safety. #3. Commitment Safety and #4. Community Safety. Often people downplay the signs of danger in a relationship. Here’s some questions to ask yourself: Are you scared of your partner? Do you feel afraid in the relationship? Have you been physically injured by your partner? Have you been choked by your partner? Do they try to control you? Do they keep you from working? Do they interfere with you going to school? Do they track where you are going? Do they threaten you or your children and pets? Hyper-jealousy is also a significant sign that you may be in danger. Friends Against Family Violence is available with resources for all in immediate need of help as well as anyone wanting to learn more about healthy relationships.
