The flyover is happening for the Vernal 4th of July parade. Last year, the National Guard Apache helicopters included Vernal on their route while this year will be the return of the F-35 fighter jets flying over. “We are excited to have the jets back again this year from Hill Air Force Base,” shares Vernal Chamber Office Manager Marilyn Wallis. “The parade is always very fun so come and enjoy!” For those still planning to enter a float into the parade, the deadline for applications is tomorrow, June 28th. This year’s parade theme is ‘Celebrating Our Founding Fathers’ with prizes to be given out for Most Patriotic, Best Flag Display, Best Theme, Most Unique, and People’s Choice. The parade will be held Tuesday, July 4th at 10am and all entries must be decorated in accordance with the theme. The application can be downloaded from www.VernalChamber.com under Events.
