National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Duchesne River near Myton as well as upstream areas. “Excessive spring snowmelt runoff is expected to push the river above flood stage

and this will impact lowland areas near Myton as well as upstream roads, bridges, and infrastructure,” shares the flood watch. Sand has been delivered by the Duchesne County Road Department in conjunction with Duchesne County Emergency Management to the American Legion building in Myton for the public to use in sandbags. Sandbags can be purchased at local farm supply and hardware stores. Private property owners are responsible for protecting their property and are urged to take action now. The flood watch runs
