It’s quite literally onward and upward at the Vernal Regional Airport after several days without flights last week. According to airport manager Doug Brown, the seal coat and permanent paint coat is complete and the runway is now operational. Flights were back on schedule as of Sunday morning and the airport has since been fully functioning. “The terminal building is all done except a couple items with electrical that we are waiting for TSA to help with,” shares Brown. Construction is also finishing up on the runway projects. SkyWest has come and set up a large portion of their equipment and TSA will do likewise in the coming days.
