Flash Flood Warnings for Bear Burn Scar and Throughout the Region

While rain is most welcome it also comes with the need for caution as National Weather Service has issued Flash Flood Warnings in areas throughout the Region. The Bear Fire Burn Scar in Carbon County was issued a serious warning and flash flooding has occurred. According to the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, flash flooding is ongoing. All are asked to please avoid the area if at all possible. If you are traveling along Highway 6 please watch for any potential flows across the road. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. Muddy flows are expected to impact the Price Water Treatment Plant located on the Price River. Helper and Castle Gate are also expected to experience flash flooding.
