by | Jun 17, 2021 | News | 0 comments

Flaming Gorge has many areas worth exploring and that is exactly what the Flaming Gorge Hiking Club is all about. Daggett County announced in their newsletter this month that the club had their inaugural hike on June 2nd to the south rim of the Gorge with Ross Catron as guide, talking about the flora and fauna. The next hike is today, June 17th. Everyone is invited, just be fit enough to  hike up and down hills and through moderately rough terrain. Those wanting to come should bring sturdy shoes, a light jackets, water, sun screen, a hat and anything else that will make their hike more enjoyable (like trekking poles or bug spray). The hike will be at the Leona Springs area. Hikers will meet at the LDS church at 5:30pm for carpooling and instructions. All hikers will need to sign a waiver at the gathering site. Those interested can text Jeri Allphin at 801-376-2148.
