The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation announced Monday that the Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center has reopened its doors after being closed for an extended period this summer. “The public will be able to access exhibits inside the visitor center and use facilities during normal hours,” shares the announcement. “Guided tours of the dam are no longer offered, but a part of the walkway allows visitors to view the riverside of the dam. The Flaming Gorge Visitor Center is owned by Reclamation and operated through the Intermountain Natural History Association and offers visitors an opportunity to learn about the dam and hydropower operations while sharing the beauty of Flaming Gorge.” The visitor center will be open daily from 9am to 5pm. The seasonal closure of the visitor center remains scheduled for October 15th through April 15th.
