Flags To Be Raised To Full Staff On January 20th For Presidential Inauguration

It was announced this week that flags will be raised to fly at full-staff during next week’s 47th Presidential Inauguration. Following the death of President Jimmy Carter on December 29th, the White House ordered that flags fly at half-staff for 30 days. House Speaker Mike Johnson ordered that U.S. flags will fly full-staff on January 20th and then be returned to half-staff the following day to continue honoring President Jimmy Carter. Governor Cox joined a growing list of other Governors who ordered likewise on state buildings to fly at full-staff on Inauguration Day. Governor Cox invited businesses and citizens to do the same.
