Fireworks Safety Practices for All

by | Jul 3, 2019 | News | 0 comments

July is the month that brings the firework fun and although there is no restrictions safety is still key. When dealing with sparklers please remember that it burns at temperatures of about 2,000 degrees fahrenheit, the same as a blow torch, so parents be sure to keep an eye on children. Keep fireworks out of your pockets. Never point or throw fireworks at another person. When lighting the fuse do not place any part of your body on the firework. Light fireworks one at a time, step back quickly, and make sure that you’re not launching them from a glass or metal container. Do not pick up or try to re-light fireworks. Be sure to keep a bucket of water nearby to fully extinguish fireworks that don’t go off or in case of fire. When finished soak both spent and unused fireworks in water for a few hours before discarding.
