Residents of Roosevelt City can look forward to an eventful
4th of July
all taking place at Constitution Park. The day kicks off with the Redmud Run. Registration
starts at 9:30am
and the race will begin
at 11:30am
, a later start so residents can still attend Neola’s parade
at 10am
and be back to enjoy the mud fun. There will be a Summer Music Fest that runs
from 11am to 4pm
with a new entertainer each hour. The day builds to a concert by Shuffle
at 6:30pm
and ends with fireworks after dark. For everyone’s safety the walking path, soccer fields and half of the south parking lot at Constitution Park will be closed to people and vehicles during the fireworks. Fire Chief Lee Rockwood states, “every year, we have at least one person try to force their way onto the soccer fields. It’s not safe. We need people to keep their distance.
