The UBTech program aimed at providing existing CDL drivers with advanced training to transport black and yellow wax from the Uintah Basin is gaining momentum. The Advanced Energy Transportation program is the result of a partnership made this year between UBTech and Finley Resources & Uinta Wax. A press release from UBTech shares that UBTech and Finley Resources & Uinta Wax hosted CDL trucking companies last month to discuss how UBTech can meet the demands of the trucking industry for drivers. The initiative has partnered with several trucking carriers, including Maverick, Marathon, Big Star, Savage, and Badlands. “UBTech is proud to partner with the energy and trucking industries to develop training opportunities, preparing their future workforce with qualified employees,” said UBTech President Aaron Weight. “Technical colleges are designed to partner with industry and prepare the workforce to go out and grow our economy.” For more information about this upcoming program, contact Tammy Wilkerson at (435)722-6906.
