It’s the final day for the TriCounty Health ‘Flu Shoot Out’ event being held at the USU Campus in both Roosevelt and Vernal. The ‘Flu Shoot-Out’ helps provide flu shots to the public but it also helps TriCounty Health staff practice a ‘Point of Dispensing’ (POD) event. The goal is to vaccinate as many people as possible and prevent the flu as well as get the practice of distributing medications or vaccines in case of emergency in the future, shares TriCounty nurse Katie Kissel. Most insurance is accepted and it is just $25 dollars for those without insurance. You can drive up for quick vaccination or come inside to the walk-in clinic. Bring kids in shorts or pants that can be rolled up high. There is also a discount for those with a USU Student ID. The event runs today from 3 to 7pm at both the Roosevelt and Vernal USU Campuses.
