A 29-year-old Craig man suffered fatal injuries in a single car accident on Highway 40 Tuesday. According to Colorado State Patrol, the man was the passenger in a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Craig woman. The vehicle lost control and rolled down a steep embankment. The man was in the back seat and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver received non-life threatening injuries but was transported to a local hospital. State Patrol said that the woman said she fell asleep while driving. Seatbelts were not being worn at the time of the accident.
