A tragic fatal accident north of Dutch John has been reported by Wyoming Highway Patrol. According to Wyoming Highway Patrol PIO Arron Healy, the fatal accident occurred at Mile Post 547 on US 191 early Sunday morning. An SUV was on a righthand curve when the vehicle left the road on the right. The driver overcorrected to the left causing the vehicle to begin a spin before exiting the roadway to the left, striking the guardrail. The vehicle then rolled several times down a steep cliff before coming to rest on its roof. The one occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old female from Dutch John, was deceased at the scene. The crash took place just a few miles across the border into Wyoming. The investigation is ongoing, including the determination of the exact time of the accident. Officer Healy shared condolences to the family losing a loved one in this tragic way. More information will be shared once released.
