A large donation was delivered to the Duchesne County Food Pantry in Roosevelt on Friday that will help keep food on the table for hundreds of local families this fall and winter. “The Duchesne County Farm Bureau and the Utah Farm Bureau Miracle of Agriculture Foundation partnered with local energy production and service businesses at the Duchesne County Jr. Livestock show,” shares Farm Bureau Eastern Regional Manager Jaron Hansen. “Nearly $11,000 and 9 animals were generously donated from energy production companies and local businesses to support food pantries across the Uintah Basin. Approximately 1700 pounds of locally raised and processed protein was donated to the Duchesne County Food Bank.” Hansen said that the food bank noted that the amount of food donated would feed nearly 300 families for 3 to 4 months.
