Fall Burning Window Now Open; What You Need To Know

by | Sep 24, 2018 | News | 0 comments

The fall burning window has opened up and here’s the information you need to know. Uintah Fire District shares that fall yard clean-up is for the purpose of open burning of clippings, brushes, plants, and pruning. Residential cleanup is allowed but no trash, tires, or oil can be burned or used to keep fires burning. The burn window opened on September 15th and runs
through October 30th.
In Uintah County and its municipalities a burn permit is required and all are asked to contact dispatch in advance of burning. Further instructions include burning away from structures and power lines. Keep a water supply available. Tend the fire at all times. Have it out by dark. And do not burn in windy conditions or on a Red Flag Day. Visit
