It’s Duchesne County Fair time and the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is doing their part to keep your family safe and having fun all week long. The Sheriff’s Office will have deputies stationed just inside the east entrance of the Duchesne County Centennial Events Center. The location will serve as a “lost and found” and is where lost children will wait to be reunited with guardians. Additional deputies will also be on duty and walking through the fairgrounds to provide security as well as manning the Sheriff’s Office booth that is set up with free giveaways for kids and information on the upcoming Citizens Academy. An important safety reminder from the Sheriff’s Office is that NO alcohol from outside the fairgrounds is to be brought into any part of the fair. Alcohol may only be purchased inside the fenced area of the outdoor arena where it must also be consumed. Anyone who chooses to drink alcohol needs to have a designated driver or have other arrangements to get home. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to have a safe and magical time at the fair this week.
