State officials continue to emphasize to all that most of Utah is now in Extreme Fire Danger and so to exercise extreme caution. “When conditions are EXTREME all fires are potentially serious because fires start quickly, spread furiously, and burn intensely,” shares Utah Fire Info. “It is often too dangerous for firefighters to engage with direct attack suppression tactics.” Local officials with BIA Forestry and Wildland Fire are also urging all to use extreme caution. “Please be aware of the extremely dry conditions when doing any work, recreating or outdoor activities,” they share. “Again, most of the fires this year have been human-caused.”
