Explore Local History With Duchesne County History Center Online

The Duchesne County History Center historical photo project continues to interest the community by sharing local historical photos online. The Duchesne County History Center’s Facebook page has grown quickly from a few hundred to over 1,200 followers  that can help the History Center identify people, places, events, and things in the photos posted. The History Center keeps an index of each scanned photo with the information that the followers on Facebook provide. “This social media information crowdsourcing quickly provides a large amount of information efficiently and effectively,” explains Duchesne County Library Director Daniel Mauchley. All are invited to participate in this local history effort.
