An equipment operator remains hospitalized after sustaining a serious injury while working at the Craig Station last Thursday. According to a statement from Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, the accident took place in the early afternoon when a heavy equipment operator’s leg was injured while working around a train. “The employee was treated immediately and transported to Memorial Regional Health in Craig, where he underwent surgery,” shares Tri-State. The leg sustained serious injury and the employee remains hospitalized in stable condition. Tri-State says their thoughts remain with the injured employee and family as they focus on supporting them as well as any affected staff at Craig Station. Investigations of the incident are currently underway by Tri-State and OSHA.
