While economic downturn has far reaching effects, it is also a time of careful planning and strategy for the energy companies themselves. Industry leaders such as Anadarko, Newfield, Red Leaf and QEP are among the many companies presenting at this year’s Uintah Basin Energy Summit where exciting new technology will be discussed and the future of local industry will be explored. These energy companies are heavily invested in the Uintah Basin and they are using this time for strategic planning. According to Uintah County Commissioner Mike McKee, many of these companies have utilized the time of downturn to restructure operations for increased efficiency in order to better meet the energy demands of the future. Those interested in hearing from local energy leaders on their focus and future outlook in the Basin are encouraged to attend the Uintah Basin Energy Summit
