‘Embrace Age Prepared’ Shares Uintah Basin Data On Senior Citizens Living Alone

Embrace Age Prepared, a senior living resource that researches aging alone, has shared data on senior living in the Uintah Basin. Utilizing Census data, the numbers worthy of pause are that 1,104 seniors in Uintah County live alone, which is up 55% from about 713 a decade ago. Duchesne County had far less growth with 574 seniors living alone in 2024, up just 16% from 493 in 2014. Statewide, Utah grew 43.8% over the same stretch. Also to note, in Uintah County, 451 people over 65 report serious difficulty doing errands on their own. That number is 271 in Duchesne County.
