Calling all kids, both boys and girls that are ages 8-13(as of
April 1, 2019
). The Vernal Elks Lodge 2375 is hosting the National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest
on Saturday December 8th
at the Uintah Recreation Center. This event will go
from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
There will be three age brackets for both boys and girls. Wrap your mind around this, each participant gets to shoot 25 shots from the regulation foul line (with the 8-9 year olds shooting a little closer). The person with the most made free throws wins! However it doesn’t stop there. All first place winners advance to a District Competition in Provo, Utah with winners advancing to State Competition, then Regionals and then on to Chicago, Illinois. The Vernal Elks Lodge invite the 8-13 year olds to come to this free event and earn the right to represent all of Vernal. Please be there early to register. Questions can be directed to
