The ‘BIA Forestry and Wildland Fire – Uintah and Ouray Agency’ reported a fire on Tuesday at Hill Creek on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. “The East Desolation Fire was discovered [Tuesday] morning burning west of Moonwater Point, east of the Green River and north of Bluebell Creek.” As of Tuesday evening, the East Desolation Fire was estimated at 50 acres, burning on a north slope in a spruce-fir stand. The fire is located in steep inaccessible terrain. There is an incident commander type-4 on scene with aircraft. No structures are threatened.
