The Division of Workforce Services has offered an employment update for the state, including numbers for the Uintah Basin. Utah’s nonfarm payroll employment for August increased about 3.8 percent with the state adding 55,700 jobs since August 2019. The state’s current employment level is 1,614,800. Nonfarm employment in Daggett County for August 2021 was 521 which was only 3 more than July. Duchesne County employment reported 7,445 which was down from 7,602. Uintah County reported 11,763 which was down from 12,339. Updated unemployment by county data will be released this week.
