DWR Asks Public to Report Hunting Violations

by | Oct 17, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Hunting season is in full swing and Division of Wildlife Resources officers are asking for your help. While DWR officers catch plenty of wildlife violations on their own they are also asking for those in the great outdoors to keep their eyes open and if illegal hunting activities are observed, to report them. “Even if what you saw doesn’t look like a big deal,” shares DWR Chief Rick Olsen, “let us know about it. Some of our most significant cases started when someone called us with a small tip that led us to more information.” This can include hunters shooting animals and not retrieving them, hunters shooting after dark, or any activity that just seems suspicious. Chief Olsen says not to confront the person who committed the violation or is behaving suspiciously but to instead call the DWR immediately at
