A traffic stop for speeding in Duchesne County this month ended in arrest for DUI. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the officer spotted the vehicle on Highway 40 near the Ioka Lane Junction. The driver was identified as 66-year-old Jackson Lee Lough. A baggie with white crystal substance was found in his pants pockets which tested positive as methamphetamine. Based on observations and field sobriety testing, the officer determined that Jackson was under the influence of drugs. He was placed under arrest and transported to the hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Duchesne County Jail. Lough is now facing felony drug and DUI charges.
