A pair of horses caused a fair amount of concern on Wednesday in Duchesne County until the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office caught up with them. Multiple posts were shared on social media about the duo as they wandered around Myton and got closer to Highway 40.
Eventually they were rounded up and put into a yard near the car wash in Myton. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office provided the final update stating that deputies had seized the 2 abandoned horses pursuant to Utah State Code and that they were taken to Basin Livestock Market in Ballard where they would be cared for until either reclaimed or sold.
The Sheriff’s Office offered a reminder to the community to always be vigilant and report any suspicious activity by calling 435-738-2015 or if you would like to report and remain anonymous the tip line is always available at 435-738-0196.
