The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office has shared a valuable reminder ahead of hitting the road for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. “The US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is urging drivers to buckle up ahead of the national Click It or Ticket safety belt campaign,” shares the Sheriff’s Office message. “The national high-visibility seat belt enforcement effort coincides with the Memorial Day holiday and runs through June 1st.” UDOT has also issued a reminder for Utah travelers this holiday weekend, namely that drivers should prepare for travel delays due to the holiday traffic. The announcement noted that significant delays are specifically expected on Highway 6 and Interstate 15 on Friday, May 23rd, and Monday, May 26th.
