The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office took time to publicly acknowledge the service and dedication of a special group of their team members in observance of National Corrections Officer Week. “Following an arrest, our Corrections Officers bear the continuous responsibility of managing the lives of inmates around the clock, every day of the year,” shares the tribute. “This is a demanding and crucial role that requires constant vigilance. Our COs, corporals, sergeants, and our commander maintain a state of constant alertness within the jail to ensure the safety of both the inmates and their fellow officers.
They consistently navigate a negative environment that can be emotionally taxing. Despite these pressures, they remain resilient and dedicated to their calling. Alongside their colleagues in patrol and investigations, they are deeply committed to the safety and well-being of our Duchesne community.” The Sheriff’s Office specifically named Jail Commander Capt. Jason Curry, extending gratitude for his leadership and service as well as thanks to every member of their correctional division.
