The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office wants to hear from you with the chance to earn bragging rights and a fun prize. The Sheriff’s Office announced Monday evening that Sheriff Travis Tucker is adding a new dog to their K-9 unit but this special officer still needs a name. “Deputy Ryan Bastian will be her handler,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “This little girl is a German Shorthair and just under 2 years old. She is from Slovakia and will be trained as a tracking and bomb dog to enhance our K-9 Task Force.” Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in naming this new member of their team. Name suggestions can be submitted through their Facebook page on the June 7th post. “The individual whose name is chosen will win all bragging rights and a nice new tumbler with this beautiful K-9’s picture on it. Everyone’s participation in the naming of our K-9 is greatly appreciated.”
