Teacher Appreciation Week comes every year and it gives the public a chance to help and give back to our teachers. Duchesne County School District shared that this year exceeded expectations. As part of Teachers Appreciation Week people donated to Donors Choose. Donors Choose has a mission to make it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education. The team has vetted and fulfilled over $1.7 million classroom project requests that range from butterfly cocoons, to robotics kits, to books with diverse characters. Through all the donors and partners across the country over $8.5 million was collected and given to more than 64,000 teacher’s classrooms across the country in just 5 days. Duchesne County School District received $6,060 that went towards classroom materials.
