Duchesne County is among the latest counties in the state to report a positive test for West Nile Virus among its mosquito population. According to the Utah Department of Health, there are now 9 mosquito pools in the state that have tested positive and two of those are in the TriCounty Health District, one in Duchesne County and one in Uintah County. Thankfully, TriCounty Health District has not had any animals test positive with the virus. So far Salt Lake Health District and SouthWest Health District are the only ones that have had animal cases with one in each district. There have been no human cases reported in the state.
