Duchesne County Man Charged With Rape

Charges include rape for a Duchesne County man for events that took place on July 2nd with a cohabitant. 21-year-old Dakota Mullins was arrested for a domestic violence event at his home after police received a 911 call from the victim’s sister. According to court documents, police also received an anonymous call while enroute to the home, reporting that a man was seen hitting a woman and then dragging her into the house at the same address as the initial 911 call. When police arrived, the residence was vacant but Mullins pulled up in his vehicle and spoke with the officer. Meanwhile, the victim called 911 from a local business where she said she was hiding and police made contact. The victim’s account of the domestic violence included Mullins raping her while she was screaming. Physical evidence at the home supported her account of an incident while Mullins denied to detectives that any act of intercourse had occurred at the home that day or in the previous days. He later changed his story when informed of the allegation of rape. Mullins was charged with 1st Degree Felony Rape, Object Rape, Forcible Sodomy, Aggravated Sexual Assault, 2nd Degree Kidnapping and Misdemeanor charges of Interruption to a Communication Device and Threat of Violence. Mullins posted bond of $22,430. He is due again in 8th District Court on
