A Duchesne County man was arrested over the weekend after sending a threatening letter to the 8th District Court. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 70-year-old Chester Roger Webster “[sent] a letter to the Judge of Record demanding money and that his son be released from jail. He [threatened] hangings and that he knows how to make death slow and painful. He also [advised] that he knows how to kill a man with his bare hands. He then [told] them to govern themselves accordingly but that they should have known the laws.” He also stated “that he would inflict violence…if they did not comply with his demands.” Webster was found at his home heavily intoxicated. When he was near the police vehicle he exposed himself and urinated on the ground in plain sight. Webster was arrested and transported to Uintah Basin Medical Center for clearance before being transported to Duchesne County Jail.
