Duchesne County Junior High Students Learn Skills at Career Fair

The Roosevelt Junior High School hosted a career fair in Roosevelt on Tuesday, December 12th. This fair included students from Altamont Junior High School and Roosevelt Junior High School. 624 students comprised of 7th and 8th graders took the opportunity to investigate potential careers. “I really liked the interaction,” commented Kaliya Roberts, an 8th grade Altamont Junior High student. 26 professional industry presenters shared occupations comprised of Business, Energy, Entertainment, Government, Technology, Agriculture, Healthcare, and Hospitality. The students met in the auditorium for a keynote session by Mark Winterton followed by four breakout sessions of their choice.
