Duchesne County fire restrictions will lift beginning October 1st. Emergency Manager Mike Lefler approached the Duchesne County Commission on September 20th with a request to move out of the fire restrictions while still ensuring that the fire permit process be followed during the fall burn and with guidelines sent out to the public of what they must do when burning. The Commissioners unanimously voted to come out of fire restrictions. The Duchesne County fall burn window opens October 1st and runs through the 31st. A burn permit is required and can be attained by calling the Fire Warden at 435-781-4741. All controlled burns must also be reported ahead of time to Central Dispatch at 435-789-4222.
