The preliminary election results are in for several Duchesne County municipalities. With nothing on the ballot, Duchesne County did not run any of the municipal elections this year meaning the cities each held their own. In the Roosevelt City Mayor race, JR Bird secured 749 votes over Albert Foster with 301 votes. JR Bird will replace Mayor Vaun Ryan in January. The two open Roosevelt City Council seats have gone to David Baird with 680 votes and incumbent Dustin White with 510 votes. Steven Timothy received 434 votes and Wendy Nicholson received 305 votes. Baird will replace Troy Rohrer on the Roosevelt City Council in January. The two open Duchesne City Council seats have gone to Jeannie Mecham with 311 votes and Danny Peatross with 308 votes. Rodney Rowley received 260 votes and Nancy Wager received 152 votes. Both Roosevelt and Duchesne City will perform canvassing
on November 14th.
