Today is the start of a new school year for many kids and in the weeks that follow many more will join them. Local law agencies are on the same page when it comes to this time of year and their message is clear: Slow Down and Watch For Kids! The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office shares that they will have deputies actively patrolling school zones. “If you think getting a ticket from one of them will ruin you day, think about how you’ll feel if you hit a child,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. The BIA Ft. Duchesne Police Department have a similar reminder, stating that “kids will be excited and could run out without warning. Remember to obey all school zone and speed limits.” A great reminder to all on the roads!
