The driver was tragically killed in a single vehicle accident in winter conditions on Highway 40 on Monday. The accident took place at about 7:53 pm on November 28th when a 2011 Dodge 2500 pickup truck was traveling East on SR-40. “The weather conditions were snowing with blowing winds and iced-over roads,” shares Utah Highway Patrol. “Near milepost 138, the 43-year-old female driver lost control, ran off the road to the right, and overturned multiple times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle, and the 47-year-old male passenger was pinned. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital via ambulance.” The driver died from her injuries a short time later. Both occupants appeared to be wearing their seatbelts, and no impairment is suspected. Evans Family Media extends our condolences to those affected by this tragedy.
