A driver is in serious condition following a head on crash on North Vernal Avenue Tuesday afternoon. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:30pm at milepost 355 on Highway 191. There was a Dodge pickup that was southbound and another large utility truck that was northbound in that area. The southbound Dodge crossed over into the northbound side and hit head on with the utility truck. Both vehicles had adult male drivers with no passengers. The driver of the Dodge was transported to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the utility truck received minor injuries. UHP reports that the investigation is ongoing to determine why the driver crossed left of center.
