Vernal City Police Department reports that on the morning of April 5th, Vernal City Officers responded to a report of a bicyclist being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Vernal Avenue and Main Street. “Upon officer’s arrival it was found a juvenile on a bicycle had been struck by a truck when crossing the street. A thorough accident investigation was conducted and the driver was issued a citation. The juvenile was treated for minor injuries at the scene by medical personnel and released.” Vernal City Police Department is urging the public to use caution when using the roadway and crosswalks. “We ask both motorists and pedestrians to be cognizant and aware of their surroundings to help prevent further incidents such as this,” shared Vernal PD. “Thank you for your help in keeping Vernal the great community that it is.”
