Downtown Vernal business and building owners, listen up! As part of the downtown revitalization efforts, Vernal City and Uintah County have launched the Downtown Façade Grant. “The façade grants are offered to assist business owners to upgrade, expand or improve the exterior of their property,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. “The program information and application are available at the city website and at the planning office in City Hall. The grant will fund 40% of exterior improvements for commercial and mixed use properties. Eligible improvements include windows, doors, awnings, fascia, paint, landscaping, and parking lots among other items.” The Rural County Economic grant and the Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) are the source of the funds. If interested in applying, remember the project must be located within the CRA boundary. Applications are being accepted as of today, Monday, March 21st.
